सरकार ने बिल्डरों को दिया निर्देश (Government to builders) सरकार ने बिल्डरों को affordable housing खरीदारों से जीएसटी वसूलने से मना किया है The government on Wednesday (7th Feb 2018) asked builders not to charge any GST from home buyers as the effective GST rate on almost all affordable housing project is 8 per cent which can be adjusted against the input credit. जीएसटी से घर खरीदने वालों की नहीं कटेगी जेब!

In its last meeting on January 18, the जीएसटी Council had extended the concessional rate of 12 per cent GST for construction of houses under the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) to promote किफायती मकान, which has been given infrastructure status in 2017-18 Budget. 

The effective GST rate, however, comes down to 8 per cent after deducting one third of the amount charged for the मकान, flat, towards land cost. This provision has effective from January 25. Now वन नेशन वन टैक्स सिस्टम के तहत ready to move घरों के बजाय अंडर कंस्ट्रक्शन प्रॉपर्टीज में investment करने से ग्राहकों को ज्यादा फायदा मिलेगा। सरकार ने all builders और कंस्ट्रक्शन कंपनियों से कहा है कि वह under construction flats में कंज्यूमर्स को जीएसटी लागू होने के बाद ज्यादा टैक्स चुकाने को न कहें।
